Summary of major responsibilities are as follows:
Perform routine preventive maintenance and make repairs and adjustments on athletic, facility, and fitness equipment.
Assist the Operations Manager to develop training and safety procedures/manuals for student/Tech Temp employees related to recreational equipment and operations. Train and supervise (student and/or Tech Temp) employees in repair and restoration of fitness equipment and general facility maintenance.
Coordinate and perform repairs and up keep on recreational equipment and amenities located within the residence halls and ancillary (i.e. external) areas. Coordinates with staff for set-up/take down of facility events.
Serves as secondary (back-up) to aquatic staff for pool operations and be familiar with and adhere to HazMat and OHSA requirements, standards, and guidelines.
Works with the Operations Manager in preparing the facility maintenance portion of the yearly budget. Maintain annual budget for preventive maintenance programs and inventory of parts. Purchase and keep accurate records of all replacement parts, materials and supplies; maintain the parts and supplies inventory.
Assist Operations Manager in the coordination of major repairs, annual facility maintenance and renovation projects. Ensure tracking methods of machine repairs, work orders, equipment history, and parts are kept up-to-date. Perform minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs as they relate to the operational aspects of the facility and ancillary areas. Prepares and communicates all maintenance reports to the Operations Manager.
